Support For Teens
Does your teen need a mentor?
Numerous studies (see one here) have found that teens who have positive, encouraging non-parent adults in their lives are happier and healthier than those who don’t. While parents have a profound effect on their teens, the need to become independent and individualize can often drive a wedge between a teen and their parents. An adult mentor can help fill in that gap.
I have several ways I can help your teenager learn, grow, and feel supported.
“Rachelle has done amazing work with our son! He has ADHD and was lacking some skills that would help him finish high school strong and start college. The resources she provided and the advice she offered have gone a long way to helping him be a successful student, employee, and citizen. She was so kind, he loved their sessions and always felt supported and encouraged afterwards. She helped our family navigate the final years of high school with joy. Her assistance helped preserve our relationship so that we could focus on being his parents. The program was very convenient with virtual consults that fit our schedule. She definitely “got him” from the beginning and I would highly recommend her services for all families who have a teen who needs help managing their ADHD.” Jen, parent
Teen Coaching
Sometimes talking to another adult can help teens work through challenges with school, their complicated emotions, what they want to do in the future, and how to handle relationships with their peers.
I not only listen to and coach my teen clients, but I also teach them useful skills using a variety of mini-lessons on topics like:
How to resolve emotions
Conflict resolution
Stress vs. anxiety
Friend posers and signs of unhealthy relationships
Loving our bodies
Procrastination and motivation
Goal-setting
Improving our habits
Creating habits and systems

"I am so thankful we found Rachelle. She helped my son with study habits, organization, accountability, and goal setting. But most importantly she helped him see himself differently. He is confident and proud of himself. Last year he was barely passing. This year he is bringing home A's, and we are so excited for his future!" - Amy, parent
